Lost Things

lostandfound3

Yesterday, while my son and I were out (he on his motor scooter and me on foot), we met a woman who had lost her dog and wished she still had him. She had a stack of flyers with his picture.

“You haven’t by any chance seen my dog have you?” she asked.

I hadn’t, but Ryan looked at the picture and then said, “Yes. My friend and I saw your dog yesterday. We didn’t know who he belonged to so we put him in my friend’s back yard.” (That was news to me.)

He got off his motor scooter and showed her the way to her dog.

Today, he got this letter in the mailbox. Tucked in was $100.00 (which we are planning to return, btw).

That's really nice! I loved it when people recognized something good my children did with a nice note.

I just found out she gave $100.00 to the other boy, too. When I called and tried to return the money, she wouldn't take it. Amazing how God put my son in the path of that woman at exactly the right time or she may have never found her dog. God is in the smallest of details!

That is so cute. Why did no one tell me about this?!
