Writer's Block: Soy Burgers Again?

If you ate school lunches as a kid, what menu item did you most dread seeing on the week's menu list? Or, if you more often brought a lunch from home, what did you hope wasn't inside your lunchbox or bag when you opened it up? What made this item so revolting for you?

I got the same sack lunch everyday in school when I was a kid... Peanutbutter sandwich(no jelly because we never had it), an apple, and a quater to buy milk.

One day, we ran out of paper lunch bags. My mom sent my lunch in a large paper grocery bag.

When I opened my bag at lunch time, my friend looked in and saw the lonely sandwich, apple, and quater, dwarfed at the bottom of the huge bag.

She laughed until she cried. (And, she probably shared her chips with me that day.)

I'm eating a pb&j sandwich that you made for me this very moment. I remember one time you made me take a plastic grocery bag with my lunch in it but it only had a sandwich and an apple. It felt quite empty, but probably not as empty as your lunch!
