Writer's Block: Proven by Science

Do you believe everything has a scientific explanation?

Not everything needs a scienctific explanation.

Faith, with its justifying, sanctifying, and saving power, is independent of science and learning, and may be kindled even in the heart of a little child.   -Philip Schaff

I've got a special true story to share that illustrates your quote. Friends of ours had a nephew, age 5, who had a terminal cancer. He asked if he could receive Holy Communion early, since the usual age in the Catholic Church is age 7. The priest came and gave him special instruction, and he was able to receive Holy Communion on each subsequent visit from the priest. When he was near to death, his family gathered around his bedside. He hadn't been conscious for about 48 hours at this point. All of a sudden, his eyes flew open, he sat up in bed with a huge smile and said "JESUS!". He then fell back to the pillow and was gone. Knowing for certain that he was with Jesus, the family was able to deal with their natural grief.

Wow! That must have been so very beautiful and comforting to the family.
