Writer's Block: Welcome home

Do you prefer to live in a region with a temperate climate or four seasons, and why?

I love to live in a region that has temperate four seasons.

Beautiful fall foliage…A little snow here and there… Early springs with daffodils popping through the ground even though it’s still winter…Summers that aren’t too hot and humid.

Seasons remind me that there is a time and place for everything in our lives.

Fall is beautiful, but essentially the beauty comes from dying leaves. It reminds me that there is a time in our lives where we have to be willing to die to our own lives and take up our cross and follow Him. When God sees that willingness, I think we look as beautiful as the brilliant oranges, reds and yellows in His eyes.

Winter reminds me that for all of us there will be times of the “Valley of the Shadow of Death” to pass through.

Spring reminds me that God promises new life and hope after those valleys. Whatever we are passing through right now is only temporary.

Summer reminds me that if we don’t give up during our fall, winter, and spring our lives will bear fruit.

Another perfect answer!! Go to the head of the class! Thanks for always pulling us back to 'center'.

Head of the Class...that's so funny!

When I was in the 7th grade I always had to sit at the head of the class - not because I was so great, but because I couldn't see the board and I was too afraid to get glasses!

Somehow, and i don't know how, but there is a surrendering beauty in the death of fall and the barrenness of winter; but i so lookforward to the new birth of spring time as well as the intenseness of the summers heat.

I do love that God is a God of change

You're right..."a surrendering beauty in the death of fall and barenness of winter"

You are so poetic.

I am so grateful that our God of change never Himself changes.

I keep thinking that I'd like to drive through New England when the leaves are changing. The farthest north I've been is NYC. What about you?

I never even made it to NYC when I lived in PA...

But that does sound like it would be beautiful!
