Answer for question 4220.

What do you do with old greeting cards and letters you receive? Do you throw them away or keep them? If you keep them, where do you put them?
I'm not a collector sort of person, but cards… well, that's a whole different story.

I have about 3 decades worth, in a box, in the attic. I can't bear to throw out something that came from someone's heart.

I must say, though, I'm beginning to see the benefit of virtual cards these days.

Greetings! It was nice to see you on the Friends page during this monthly LJ visit :-)

There's a charity that collects the pictures from the fronts of old greeting cards and "recycles" them into new greeting cards crafted by needy children, unless someone wrote on the back of the picture. Most people who send me greeting cards write on the back of the picture. I could glue the picture onto fresh card stock and make a new recycled greeting card of my own, but don't get around to doing it...

"What? Not sentimental at *all* about the messages?" Of course I save the messages. I copy them into a computer file. But the pictures might as well be circulated on to be seen by other people, if I only took the time.
