Answer for question 4218.

What was the last book you read? How did you hear about it? Did you enjoy it enough to recommend it to others?
The Bible.

I only recommend it if you want to know what it means to be truly free. What it means to abandon yourself in order to gain your life.

If you want to know why you are here and what your purpose is in life.

If you don’t mind having your whole mindset turned upside down and wrecked. And be completely humbled at your own inadequacy before a Holy God.

If you want to know how to live a happily ever after. Forever. And ever. And ever. And ever.

Otherwise, I recommend you leave it on your shelf and let it collect dust.

Yes. Both. But not from beginning to end. I like to jump around. Have you read it? The OT tells of God’s Holiness and righteous demands. The NT tells of His grace and love over a people who failed at holiness and righteousness. It’s like the judge took the sentence He had rendered. I don’t know about you, but I want me some of that GRACE!!!
